As of Saturday September 30, 2023, the Capitol Peak repeater will be removed. After a 5-16 month battle with DNR and after getting Internet restored after HamWAN was kicked off, we gave up the battle. DNR simply wants the hams off their sites, period.
The plan to compensate for the loss of Capitol, is to install a new and better commercial antenna at BawFaw to the South and possibly some improvement to Baldi Peak Antenna system to the North. This is likely not to happen before the snow flies.
We will try to keep the I-5 travel corridor contiguous as our priority 1. More as we figure out how to make up for the loss of Capitol Peak.
