For those client radios that do not have digital monitor (promiscuous mode) function, there is a fairly effective solution that has been used for many years for MotoTRBO radios, that being a combination of channel scanning (sampling) and with the use of Rx Groups. Most DMR client radio support both features and set up correctly, it is a useful method to enable a similar benefit now common in the Chinese brand radios.
