Still being updated…

We have decided to add an on the air net as well as zoom meeting support for Meshcore.  This net and zoom will be for our member’s support for efforts to learn more about Meshcore as well as assist in deploying repeaters.

As the MC growth has mushroomed, we are already seeing the need to better manage that growth and traffic in the busiest regions.  We hope to help in drilling down into the deeper areas for better management.  Regions, paths, 2 byte and hashtag channels are areas to explore.

If this is of any interest to you, please join PNWD’s “Mesh Net” on Tuesday June 2, 2026 at 7pm west coast time on the Cascades TG and Zoom (zoom.pnwdigital.net/pw: pnwdigital, same creds as the Gathering).

If Cascades is not fulltime on your repeater, please let me know if you would like Cascades full time for the 1 hour time period, 1900-2000 pacific.  I will also add Cascades to Peter for the same time period.  Changed Peter’s Cascades to full-time for now though.

We will begin as a bi-weekly net, 1st and 3rd Tuesdays.  We will have a NCS, moderator or facilitator but it will likely be fairly informal.  Preference will be given to over-the-air traffic over Zoom, at least for the initial 30-60 minutes if there is OTA traffic.  Zoom will support the net or can go make use of it’s own visual and chat features.

This net is likely to evolve as we feel our way along based on feedback from those who participate.  Nothing set in stone, multiple NCS’s welcome to bring their own style, we may develop topics, agenda’s possibly.  It’s new, so try it out. This bifurcated approach is somewhat like back-channeling on our nets but Zoom will be open, so name your poison.

The Palouse Mesh has it’s own stripped down freebie IO group and has yet to catch on.  But considering reassignment of one of our stale or underused IO groups that if full featured if it appears interest level would support a PNWdigital wide presence.  Our California group is very interested in MC as is OR and WA.  So it might be of some value.

We do currently have a MC signal group and members are welcome to join:  https://signal.group/#CjQKILeAeJe9TI29NWEAGa433QFFcWwomYddcZD42YyxtE_0EhDDnt__qEWcgiEBjA5-nPxh
