As of today July 3, 2023, the Pateros repeater on Goat Mtn is now in service. This is part of the Wenatchee crew’s project.
A new antenna should increase its coverage as well, including all of the Methow Valley travel corridor up to Hwy 20 MP 131, just west of Washington Pass with the help of the Winthrop and Mazama repeaters. Coverage north toward Tonasket, South down to Chelan or so, east toward Davenport on Hwy 2 as well as much of the table around Mansfield, Waterville, etc.
The Methow Valley is about 60 miles in length, .5 to 2 miles wide and hard to cover. We will have about another 10 miles of coverage westward. Cellular coverage ends about Early winters, so this additional coverage will be helpful.
Coverage so far has been reported in Twisp via HT on the Eastside County Road and Signal Hill via mobile, but the coverage is rough this far up valley.
